Music Ministry

PCC is blessed with an abundance of musical talent as evidenced by the number of church choirs. The focus of the music ministry is to praise, worship and adore Jesus Christ. The music shared in worship is offered to bring all of us into a deeper attitude of worship before our LORD. We come together in music to lift up our Savior’s precious name and to offer Him our thanksgiving through praises presented with voices, instruments and bells. We desire to glorify Him and to celebrate His presence in our midst and in our hearts individually and corporately. We sing, ring and play to express our love for Jesus. Truly, there is something very special about unifying our hearts, minds, spirits and voices before the LORD in music. An amazing number of our congregants participate in our music ministry which consists of eleven choirs (six voice and five bell). [When applause is given at the conclusion of a musical offering the applause is for the LORD who supplies the musical talent.] The various music ensembles present their musical offerings throughout the year during Sunday Worship and special events.

Adult Music

Hosanna Handbells is an adult bell choir under the direction of Betty Lou Fogt. Members learn technique and present their musical offerings each month during worship services. Anyone interested in joining this choir is invited to rehearsal Sundays at 5 PM in the Bell Choir Room.

Rhapsody Ringers is an adult bell choir under the direction of Betty Lou Fogt. Members enjoy honing their ringing expertise through challenging selections. Their musical offerings are presented each month in conjunction with regularly scheduled worship services. Rhapsody Ringers meets for rehearsal on Wednesdays at 6:30 PM in the Bell Choir Room.

Worship Choir is for anyone in high school through adulthood. This group rehearses every Wednesday form 7:40 pm to 9:00 pm under the direction of Paul Morton. Members enjoy learning basic theory, singing techniques and praising God with musical selections for vocal choir. No experience is necessary. The Joyful Noise is a women's choir for ladies in high school through adulthood. This group rehearses every Wednesday form 5:15 pm to 6:00 pm under the direction of Ed Martin. Members enjoy learning basic theory, singing techniques and praise God with musical selections for women's choir. No experience necessary. The Soul Singers is an adult choir for people with experience in singing and reading music. This group rehearses every Sunday form 9:45 am to 10:30 am under the directions of Paul Morton. Members enjoy learning basic theory, singing techniques and praising God with musical selections for vocal choir. Participation is by invitation.

Reflection is a vocal quartet that was formed 24 years ago and still has two original members. This group rehearses when necessary and is under the direction of Rick Miles. Members enjoy learning basic theory, singing techniques and praising God with musical selections for vocal choir. Participation is by invitation.

The Church Orchestra is a new group at Plantation Community Church and is for anyone who knows how to play a musical instrument from the beginner to the professional. Rehearsals will start upon the completion of the new Sanctuary. Members will learn basic music theory, techniques and praising God with musical selections for orchestra. Children's Music

Junior Choir is for all children ages four through third grade. This group rehearses every Wednesday from 5:30 pm to 6:00 pm under the direction of Shirley Dority. This choir learns the basics of singing and enjoy praising God through song. No auditions necessary, all are welcome.

Youth Choir is for all children in fourth though eight grade. This group rehearses every Wednesday from 5:30 pm to 6:15 pm under the direction of BettyLou Fogt. This choir enjoys learning the basics of singing, memorizing hymns and singing anthems. No auditions necessary, all are welcome.

Chime Choir is for all elementary school age children who are interested in learning to ring hand chimes. This group rehearses every Wednesday form 4:45 pm to 5:30 pm under the direction of Hal Fogt. The children enjoy learning basic theory, techniques and praising God with musical selections for hand chimes. Once basic skills are met, members may be promoted to Joy Ringers. No auditions necessary, all are welcome.

Joy Ringers is for all elementary school age children who have basic experience in ringing hand chimes or bells. This group rehearses every Wednesday form 4:45 pm to 5:30 pm under the direction of BettyLou Fogt. The children will enjoy learning basic theory, techniques and praising God with musical selections for hand bells. Peace Ringers is for all middle and high school age students who have basic experience in ringing hand chimes or bells. This group rehearses every Sunday form 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm under the direction of Jeremy Sawh.
